When it comes to planning a maternity photoshoot, the first and most important step is finding the right photographer. photos that you’ll cherish forever, it’s important to find a photographer whose style you love and who you feel comfortable with. do some research online to find a photographer in your area whose work you admire. The perfect places to look for photographers are instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. Once you’ve found the perfect photographer, get in contact, set up a consultation to get to know them and chat about your vision for the shoot.

2. Pick the perfect location

The second step in planning a successful maternity photoshoot is choosing the perfect location. If you’re not sure where to start, consider what kind of vibe you’re going for. Do you want classic and elegant photos in a studio or something more fun and wild? If you’re not sure, ask your photographer for suggestions – they’re the experts, after all!

3. Choose the right time

When it comes to picking the right time for your maternity photoshoot, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll want to think about what time of year it is. If it’s summer time you might want to avoid the hottest hours of the day, which are typically between 12pm and 4pm. Instead, opt for a shoot earlier in the morning or later in the evening when the light is softer and more flattering. If it’s winter you might want to opt for a mid day session as the sun starts setting at around 4pm. Again, talk to your photographer as they will have lots of experience when scheduling the perfect session.
You’ll also want to keep your due date in mind – you don’t want to schedule your shoot too close to your due date in case your little one decides to make an early appearance! We recommend scheduling your maternity shoot between week 29 and 34.
